Arrests Made in White Lake, Milford Home Invasions

Tow men, according to Milford Police, were arrested Nov. 28 for their roles in home invasions in White Lake and Milford

The following is a press release from the Milford Police Department.

On November 28, 2012 Jason Weeks and James Golding were charged with Home Invasion 2nd Degree, 15-year felony, and Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property, 5-year felony as a result of a joint investigation between the Milford Police Department, Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, and the White Lake Township Police Department.

Members of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team (FAT) were conducting surveillance on Weeks and Golding as a result of identifying large amounts of pawned jewelry by the duo. During surveillance FAT suspected Weeks and Golding of committing a home invasion in White Lake Township and later observed them commit an offense in Milford Township. The pair was arrested and charged in a two-count warrant. They are both currently lodged at the Oakland County Jail on $25,000 cash bonds.

This case is another example of the importance of cross-jurisdictional partnerships between area law enforcement agencies. These relationships allow professional law enforcement officers to share information and collaborate on cases to bring closure for our victims and our communities.

The good news is that some of the "Patch" readers have already identified these two as drug addicts (more like an assumption), which in turn excuses them from the crimes because the need for their drug never ends. Let's hear the bleeding hearts comments.....

Are they involved in any the break-ins in the Highland township area? With crimes relating to cars and homes? My car was broken into with the window smashed in and they took some items, whom ever it was. So glad they have these 2 behind bars. Guess they are on Santa's naughty list for sure. Thank you and nicely done team work!!
