Best Thing I Ate: Fish from Colasanti's in Highland
This week's dish comes from Snook's Butcher Shoppe inside Colasanti's in Highland.
I love visiting Colasanti's in Highland. Whenever I am in the area I stop in and never fail to find something quick, easy and delicious for dinner.
This week, I purchased some potato crusted cod with cheddar and chives. It was a big hit at my house.
If you've never been, Colasanti's is a unique, locally owned market that features Snook's Butcher Shoppe, a large selection of fresh produce, delicious fresh baked breads and desserts, a wonderful wine and beer selection and loads of Michigan made products.
Other favorites of mine from Colasanti's include their homemade soups, their cornbread, and the free cups of coffee you get near the butcher shoppe.
Colasanti's is located at 468 S. Milford Road in Highland. The store is open Monday-Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Loved that place but will NEVER go back. My husband and I were checking out when we noticed our loaf of bread rang up .30 more than the tag reflected. When we pointed this out to our cashier another cashier from the other lane said that we must of switched the tag in a loud voice for other customers to hear! Seriously? Embarrassed we left our cart and went to notfiy a manager who stepped out of his office eating a sandwich in our face and said 'ok' and stared at us blankly. Needles to say we won't be back.
