Deputies responded to a noise complaint and possible underage drinking party on the 1500 block of Highland Park on July 8, according to a Highland Police report.

After arriving on scene, an officer heard someone climbing a fence the led to the Scott M-59 Dodge Dealership, according to the report. The officer requested the suspect to stop and then chased the suspect after they ran into the private property of the car dealership. 

The suspect then climbed another fence, according to the report and fell to the other side. The officer then discharged his taser through the fence, but missed the suspect who got up and ran from the scene into a neighboring subdivision, according to police. 

Police say the suspect is wanted for trespassing in the Dodge Dealership.

When the officer returned to the original location, no one answered the door and ll the lights had been turned off. Police believe the suspect may have come from the party.

Suspicious Circumstances 

Police responded to a general smoke alarm going off at the Milford High School on July 2, according to a police report. 

Officers noticed an open maintenance door, but all other doors and windows were secured according to the report. A school representative unlocked the school doors where officers noticed a smoke order new the cafeteria hallway, according to police. Officers then discovered a spent smoke bomb near the maintenance break room. 

There were no other signs of vandalism or other items missing, according to the report.

Larceny- Personal Property 

A Highland woman reports that between the hours of 11:30 p.m. July 9 and 7 a.m. July 10, her wallet was removed from her unsecured vehicle located on the 3000 block of Heritage Farms. 

According to a police report, the victim states that her neighbor woke her up at 7 a.m. to tell her he had found her wallet and her husband’s sweatshirt on his front lawn. Missing from the wallet was $64, according to the report.
