Friends of Highland Recreation Group Looking for Volunteers
Want to help restore the Edsel Ford Sheep Barn at Highland Recreation Area? Here's how you can get involved.
The following is a release from the Friends of Highland Recreation Area.
On Sunday, April 15th, at the Edsel Ford Barn in Highland State Recreation Area, the Friends group is planning to raise the first of six new shed walls on the structure since the violent storm damage of 2008. The walls have been assembled over the winter and are now ready to be put in place.
If you'd like to be a part of this historic event, come on out to the park by 9 a.m. on the 15th. If you want to assist, bring a framing hammer and appropriate construction attire. To watch and enjoy, bring yourself and a camera! Safety is our biggest priority. The work day starts at 9 a.m., and typically wraps up around 3 p.m.
