Huron Valley Schools Cuts Process Short, Selects Jim Baker as Superintendent

Following interviews Tuesday night, the Huron Valley Schools Board of Education chose to forgo the rest of the interview process and selected a new superintendent.

The Huron Valley Schools Board of Education has named Jim Baker, Executive Director of Human Resources, as interim superintendent effective May 1, 2012.

Interim Huron Valley Schools Superintendent Jim Baker has been selected as the new superintendent for Huron Valley Schools.

The board of education conducted the last two interviews Tuesday night and decided, unanimously, to forgo the rest of the interview process and enter into negotiations with Baker.

That's all being negotiated now. When there is a contract I will get the details and let you all know.

really think this is wonderful news for our district. Mr Baker has shown himself to be the kind of administrator who will do what it takes, ruffle the feathers if necessary, but is committed to doing what it takes to get this district in line. He is a real guy, he is approachable and he's willing to listen to the parents and students of HV. Like us, he expects teachers to teach, parents to be involved and students to be responsible
