MSU Beats Wisconsin in Last-Second Thriller: Your Favorite Moment?

Fans go wild in East Lansing and on social media about Big Ten matchup.

It came down to the final second of the game and an official replay review. Whether you were there in person or watching on TV, were you going nuts Saturday night as the Spartans beat the Badgers 37-31?

"It was a finish that made 'Little Giants' seem like child's play ..." is the lead on a Detroit News story today

What was your favorite moment?

Fans were sharing their comments on Twitter and Facebook as it happened and afterward. Here's a sample:

From Twitter:

@balanon (Henry Balanon): Heart is beating fast. #MSU

then: I might have to change my New Years plans. #MSU

@ShaneBattier (Shane Battier): What a play!!!!!! Hail Mary for the win!!!!! What a game for Michiganstate. Wow.

@sherm148 (Nate Sherman): 1 of the best wins I have seen my Spartans pull off!! Is it too early to start talking Rose Bowl?? #MSU

@B1Gfootball (Big Ten Football): MSU also improves to 6-1 overall to become bowl eligible for fifth straight year.

@Mark_Ingram28 (Mark Ingram): Woowwww who's watching this MSU/Wisconsin game??!

On Facebook:

Kelly Groya Selden: I think the fact that we painted the rock in front of our house with the spartan S says it all! "Go State" It was a great game and the Spartans showed a lot of heart.

Karen Hettrick Wiegel: We took the kids to their first Spartan football game last night...I think we picked a good one!! What an incredible night in East Lansing!

Molly Varon: Never felt better to BLEED GREEN!!!!! SPARTAN FOR LIFE!

Laura Varon Brown: Pretty sure I just saw my favorite Spartan game ever. Makes the long ride home worth it!

Mike Hudson: (referencing the overturned call based on camera review) ... the stadium started shaking, which is what made this goal line camera shake so badly, which delayed the review. If they hadn't overturned it would have been because the place was going crazy. What a moment.

Bob Gould: Cannot believe Susan and I witnessed that MSU game live. What an amazing finish. So glad to see one go our way like that. Go green!!!

To be down 14-0 ,and to fight back for the lead, then Wisconsin ties it up.
What a game.....but to pull off a hail Mary play at the end.Doesn't get any better for MSU fans.

For MSU to be down 14-0 and to come back for the lead. Then to have Wisconsin come back and tie it up with less than one minute what a game. But to pull off the win with a hail Mary pass and upset Wisconsin. You couldn't see any better football !!

Incredible game!! We were all turned around facing the press box while the final Hail Mary play was under review, since the folks up there were already watching the replays on TV. They started making the "touchdown" sign down at us, which got the crowd riled up while we waited for the refs to make it official. It was an incredible end to an amazing game!

We were on the south side of the stadium (opposite of the student section) and couldn't see that play clearly since it was on the other side of the stadium. We were all holding our breath. It was amazing to be in that crowd when the refs threw up their hands. I've been incredibly lucky to see some amazing moments at Spartan stadium these last three years, but this was hands down the greatest Spartan moment.

For the third straight year MSU played a night game that came down to the final play. Just like Notre Dame last year, MSU prevailed. What a great atmosphere and great night.

We have a pair of season tickets and my son (in high school) didn't want to go because "...Wisconsin is going to win big." Lee Corso picked the Badgers. After attending the MSU-UM game, plus 2 high school soccer games and 2 middle school volleyball matches in the past week, I was a little tired of live sports. Tried to find takers for our tickets to last night's game, but no one wanted them. Reluctantly my wife and I went to the game, and after a safety, blocked field goal attempt, a punt blocked for a TD, and a game winning Hail Mary pass, we're very happy it worked out that way (much to my son's regret).

I've been a State fan my whole life but my brother goes to UW and is Bucky the Badger. He happened to be the Bucky for that game so a lot of my family was at the game cheering for Wisco. It was tough to be torn both ways so I cheered for State and Bucky. What an incredible game to witness!! Go Green!

What a great game. Favorite moment? When the referee raised his hands, of course.

I was vasillating, these are the same officials who blew a grounding call earlier, will they be brave enough to do the right thing now? The shakey camera mounting, real time, I could not believe that they did. The grounding was wis. Q B, took one step to his right and threw into the ground, they said he was out side the tackle box, he wasn't even at the guard pos. So now while we were waiting for these same ppl to make that big a call, I was doubting it, but having seen the replay, in stop time the wis. player clearly swung the rec'r into the path of the plane of the goal line. I have more later.

Any body see ESPN later, did an enhancement of THE play, the software used to show the yellow lines, they used to bring the plane of the goal line vertically, and the part of the line hidden by bodies. took the TV shot, and enhanced the ball in the hands, shows the ball clearly breaking the plane, of course the replay guy did not have that during the call. would it been the same if in Madison?
