Shot Fired During Neighbor Dispute in White Lake

White Lake police were called to a home on Little Farm in White Lake Sept. 19 at 1:30 p.m. following reports of a neighbor dispute.
According to the police report, a 62-year-old from Wixom was mowing the lawn of a home on Little Farm when a man who lives down the street got into his truck and began to drive at him in an attempt to hit him.
Lt. Don Nankervis said this is the second time in a few months that a similar incident has been reported.
This time, the report states, the owner of the home that's lawn was being mowed, a 65-year-old, saw what was happening and stepped into the yard with a pistol. According to the report the man fired a single shot into the ground as a warning, stopping the man in the truck.
The report states the homeowner then called police, and the man in the truck left the scene.
Nankervis said police are attempting to the locate the man, and that the department has been contacted by his lawyer.
The incident remains under investigation.
