It didn't have the pomp and circumstance of the Presidential Inauguration, but the Oakland County Commissioners recently also took the oaths of office in a smaller ceremony to start 2013.

Oakland County Chief Circuit Court Judge Nanci Grant administered the oath in the commission chambers in Pontiac. Also present was former commissioner David Potts, of Birmingham, who was recently appointed to the County’s Zoological Authority for 2013.
