Rustic French-inspired cuisine was the highlight of the night as nearly 100 people from the area enjoyed a special meal.
The Root Restaurant & Bar hosted “A Midsummer Night’s Feast” the evening of Aug. 4 in White Lake.
Nearly 100 patrons enjoyed the six-course rustic French-inspired feast created by Executive Chef James Rigato and his staff.
Courses included a raw West Coast oyster, buttered poached rainbow trout, Moroccan spiced duck breast and French garlic sausage.
Apple tarte tatin with cinnamon crème brulee and vanilla bean chantilly cream was served as dessert.
Owner Ed Mamou said he was very excited to host the unique feast, and he was encouraged by the turnout.
The restaurant shut down for the night to hold the event. Tickets were sold ahead of time for $65 a piece.
