Fire Department Suspects Arson at Vacant Home Featured in Movie

Home on Hill Road featured in the movie "The Wicked" was damaged in a fire Sunday night in White Lake.

The White Lake Fire Department is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to the arrest of a suspected arsonist in White Lake.

According to the department, an unknown person intentionally set fire to a home on the 1800 block of Hill Road in White Lake.

Capt. Ted Lilley with the White Lake Fire Department confirmed it was the home featured in the movie The Wicked.

Lilley said the fire started around 7 p.m., and that crews were on the scene for two hours.

"The fire started at the back of the home, and we do think it was intentionally set," Lilley said.

There were no reported injuries, nor were there any estimates on the amount of damage.

Lilley said an addition at the back of the home had been damaged, and most of the damage was contained to the rear of the home.
