Talk About Town: Where's the Worst Cell Phone Reception?

The new iPhone 5 may be great, but it may not matter in sections of White Lake and Highland where you simply don't get service.

All this talk about the iPhone 5 has us thinking: sometimes, regardless of how wonderful a new phone may be, it still can't get past dead spots.

We all know the areas we avoid when we want to have an uninterrupted cell phone call in White Lake and Highland.

So, tell us: which cell phone network do you have, and where do you lose service in the White Lake-Highland area? Please make sure to include the town, along with the street/area so we know where to avoid!

at the Huron Valley Soccer Club fields, Pleasant Valley Rd. north of Middle (yes, I know it's technically Hartland not Highland, but HVSC is the "local" soccer club out in White Lake/Highland area so there are a ton of kids and parents from 48357/83/86 there every week)

Oxbow Lake Rd and Cedar Point in White Lake. Verizon told me it's because the towers are at least 2 miles away and the foliage is interfering with the signal. They suggested I buy a network extender. Has anyone ever heard of this and does it work?

Mary, Verizon told me that too back when I had an HTC Droid Incredible 2... no matter where I was in my neighborhood (near where you indicated you had no service). I took the Droid back and got a different model phone and have had no trouble since then. Seems like some phones just don't have reliable signals. Loved the Droid but the phone signal is really the most important part about a phone!
