Visions for Vacancies: What Business Should Locate Here?

You don't need to be an urban planner to know what the White Lake- Highland area needs from this vacancy. Talk about it on Patch.

This space is the former Fashion Bug clothing store located off Highland Road in a shopping complex with free parking.

What type of business do you want to see in this space? A new restaurant? A shoe store? A bakery?

I would love to see A Christmas Tree Shops (they're not a Christmas store despite the name, they pretty much have a little bit of everything but at a discount and they are owned by Bed Bath and Beyond. The closest one now is in Utica. Besides that, I would like to see a good dollar store or a buffet type restaurant (Golden Corral, Ryan's, Fire Mountain Grill) as the closest of those is very far from this area.

A Trader Joe's would be a great complement to the center, provided the Township Planning and MDOT enhance the traffic flow entering and and exiting the complex. As it is now, there is room for improvement.

At one point Five Below was coming to White Lake. This would be a great location.

Elevate the needs and well-being of our community. Quality, organic, fresh and hip... Trader Joe's improves every community they chose to be in. We could use an infusion of healthy food in White Lake.
