Visions for Vacancies: What Business Should Locate Here?
You don't need to be an urban planner to know what White Lake needs from this vacancy. Talk about it on Patch.
This building has been vacant for several years. The former home of a dry cleaners and party store, this building is now facing a dangerous buildings hearing Thursday at the township planning commission meeting.
What do you think? Should this building be torn down? If it is torn down, what would you like to see replace it?

Who owns it? The township or a private entity? What is the size and dimensions of the property? Any environmental issues? Tear it down. Build up the corner to the level of M-59 with water, sewer, storm drain, electrical, curb cuts, acceleration / deceleration lanes in place. Then it would be marketable.

Tear it down, we dont need another party store in WL. What does White Lake need that it doesnt really already have? IF they really needed to put something there maybe a Micro Brewery, an Olga's Kitchen, KFC or even a Popeye's Chicken :-)

This building is so sunken it's hard to see. Would another building thrive in this space? That lot is such a hard area to pull in and out of. Either rebuild the whole corner or just remove the eyesore.

Tear it down. As White lake continues to expand, the parcel will appeal to some developer no doubt.

What about a White Castle? If they don't want to use the Milford Rd.-M-59 corner, then maybe this location would be to their marketing tastes. Good drive-thru for the high schools & GM employees.

We don't need another junk food restaurant on that corner to appeal to teens.

How about a dry cleaners. None in White Lake.

Tear it down, I vote for a nice family resturant or KFC.

This corner has not been a marketable corner for a long time and had seen several businesses attempt to stay alive from this site. Rebuild the site to be safer and more visible and then let some local business occupy the site.

I say tear it down and build a gas station that doesn’t sell K2, Spice like the shell gas station across the street from this wore out building.
