Where Are the Best Sledding Hills in the White Lake-Highland Area?

Where is your favorite place to sled in and around White Lake and Highland?

Nothing says "snow day" like gathering up the kids and heading to the nearest sledding hill for hours of winter fun.

In the White Lake-Highland area, one of the most popular sledding spots is at Kensington Metropark in Milford - in fact, it was even included on a list of best hills by CBS Detroit.

Not on the list, but popular in the area, are the hills at Indiant Springs Metropark in White Lake.

If you are willing to travel, Farmington's Shiawassee Park was included on CBS Detroit's recent list of the best sledding hills in metro Detroit with the caveat that the hill is so popular, it can sometimes be too crowded.

Another nearby hill on the list is Northville's Cass Benton Park on Hines Drive between Six and Seven Mile Roads.

Not on the list, but popular in the area, are the hills at Indiant Springs Metropark in White Lake.

So, where is your favorite place to sled in and around White Lake and Highland?

Don't go to kensington if you have kids 5 & under. The beginner hill is to big/fast for little ones and the bunny hill doesn't allow kids over 36 inches. If your child is below 36 inches, parents are not allowed to ride with them. Bunny hill eventually had no one on it, ruined our day.

Used to be the back of Teeple Hill, down the old toboggan run. Was also probably the most dangerous!

The hill in front of OCC, Highland lakes. Suprisingly awesome and lots of room!

My favorite sledding hill is the one that I rode down as a little kid. I went down it last Saturday as a matter of fact.

That hill was located at my house growing up. Even though they no longer live at that house. We still go back.
