Where Do You Get Your Thanksgiving Turkey?
Local businesses are now taking orders for Thanksgiving turkeys, where do you get yours?
It's the spotlight of any Thanksgiving celebration - the turkey.
The turkey can often make or break the holiday, so finding the perfect one is important.
Several local businesses are now taking orders for Thanksgiving turkeys - places like Market Place Meats and Snook's Butcher Shoppe inside Colasanti's. But, which place has the best turkey?

I order fresh turkeys from my local farmers. Roeske's, which is one of the farms that participates in the White Lake farmers market, offers fresh, pasture-raised turkeys. Last year, my dairy farmer raised some. www.johnhenrys.net is another source for locally grown, pasture-raised turkeys. Buy local & support Michigan's economy!

I have ordered Empire turkey's via Hiller's Market - love them but had one last year from http://www.peacockspoultryfarm.com at 6355 Rochester Road, Troy, Michigan 48085 (248) 879-0020 at a friend's home and decided to try this for Thanksgiving 2012. I will check out the above ones for Christmas and future turkey dinners. I am always looking for fresh, humanely raised, free range protein
