The Huron Valley Council for the Arts home of The Art Shop Artist cooperative is proud to present the Arts & Greens Holiday Artist Market. In its 7th year this FREE art and fine craft market has become a holiday tradition for many Oakland County residents. With thousands of original hand crafted art and fine craft pieces created by some of the region’s best artists this event is a wonderful start to the holiday season.

Held INSIDE the 28,000 square foot climate controlled Bogie Lake Greenhouses guests can shop the artist booths nestled between festive displays of poinsettias and other holiday greens, one of the most unique settings for an art and fine craft market in all of Michigan. Many of the artists will be demonstrating and children of all ages can enjoy weaving baskets at the Basket Sampler booth and trying their hand at fiber felting in the Back to Back Fibers booth.

In addition to the unique gifts, visitors can enjoy live music ranging from the Huron Valley Community Choir to the ever popular Tuba Christmas performance to some of the regions favorite local bands.

The talented staff of Bogie Lake Greenhouses will also be conducting free holiday greens building classes throughout the weekend, teaching visitors the fine touch for making that perfect table centerpiece or festive holiday decoration.

Michigan authors from around the region will be on hand all weekend to sign books and speak to fans about the passion behind their work, including Michael Glenn Monroe author of the popular children’s books M is for Mitten: A Michigan Alphabet, The Michigan Counting Book and A Wish to Be A Christmas Tree.   Enjoy locally sourced fresh food each day from 11am to 3pm provided by Green Zebra Food Truck.
