White Lake Man Discovers His Property Listed 'For Sale' on Ebay

A 48-year-old White Lake man discovered his family's Jackson County property listed for sale on Ebay on Oct. 18, according to White Lake Township Police.
Police said someone had forged a quick-claim deed and listed it on the site.
White Lake Township Police are investigating; however the case may be referred to another agency.
Laptop stolen from car
A laptop was stolen from an unlocked car overnight sometime between Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 on the 3000 block of Pine Needle Drive, according to White Lake Township Police.
Police were able to obtain the serial number of the laptop and entered it into the system as stolen.
Hunting gear, camera equipment stolen
About $2,000 worth of hunting gear, jewelry and camera equipment was stolen from an unlocked car overnight between Oct. 17 and Oct. 18 on the 2000 block of Mystic Valley Dr., according to White Lake Township Police.
The homeowner had left his pickup truck parked in the driveway. Items stolen included hunting stands, a GPS device, jewelry and camera equipment.
Man strikes deer in early morning
A 45-year-old White Lake man traveling eastbound on Highland Road (M-59) struck a deer on Oct. 16 around 6:30 a.m. near Charlton, according to White Lake Township Police.
The deer darted out in front of the man and caused significant front-end damage to his 2005 Jeep.
Police urge drivers to be careful on the road this time of year and be especially alert in the hours of dawn and dusk, when deer are most active.
