Huron Valley Penguins Swim Team Places 6th at State Meet
This past weekend, our own Huron Valley Penguins Swim Team scored 545 points and placed 6th out of over 70 teams at the state swim meet.
Team members include: Ava Rosely, Alyssa Bramble, Gaby Koechley, Kaylee Williams, Charlotte Syke, Ella Glaspie, Zane Rosely, Christian Dunaitis, Fletcher Smith, Danny Buglak, Parker Crutchman, James Lindenberg, Victor Smith, Kaz Sieja, Ian Allen, Jack Winslow, Jacob Hazelton, Morgan Linkous, Isabel Fairbanks, Riley Faulkner, Emilie Kennedy, Gabby Rosely.
The purpose of the Huron Valley Penguins Swim Club is to teach young athletes to pursue and attain personal goals while learning the sport of competitive swimming. It is the job of the coaches to teach quality stroke technique, sportsmanship, teamwork, strong work ethics and the love of competition. In this, we hope each child will grow in his or her own personal achievements.
The Huron Valley Penguins is a competitive USA Swimming club. The program is designed for beginning to experienced swimmers. The Huron Valley Penguins Swim Club is one of over 80 clubs in Michigan. Swim Meets are held on the weekends with other USA clubs in South East Michigan. Swimmers also compete in dual meets through the United Swim League. Dual meets are held during the weekdays and swimmers typically swim two dual meets per month. The Penguins Swim Club is designed to teach proper stroke technique and help build a child’s self esteem. Are you interested in joining the Huron Valley Penguins Swim Club? Join the team and coaching staff for a trial week from Monday, April 8th – Friday, April 12th. The coaches will help place swimmers into the correct ability level group and answer any questions you might have about the team. All participants must complete a waiver at the Pools & Fitness Reception Desk prior to practice and will receive a trial week punch card.
