Good morning, White Lake, here's what you need to know about today.
1. The weather
The National Weather Service says we can expect rain and snow with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 80% with new snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible throughout the day.
2. Gas prices
According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Sunday night was $3.25 per gallon at the Speedway gas station at 9601 Highland Rd.
3. On this day in history
According to History.com, in 1945, five U.S. Navy Avenger torpedo-bombers on a routine three-hour training mission in Florida left the Ft. Lauderdale Naval Air Station at 2:10 pm and never returned.

The disappearance of the 27 men and five bombers planes led to one of the largest air and seas searches up to that point. No trace of the bodies or aircraft was ever found.
Although the Navy blamed bad weather for the unsuccessful rescue mission, the story of the "Lost Squadron" helped cement the legend of the Bermuda Triangle.

4. In the news: Toys For Tots Holiday Party
Lakeland Leadership is preparing to host is 36th Annual "Lakeland Tradition" Toys for Tots Holiday Party for Handicapped Children on Dec. 8 at Lakeland High School, according to a post from Lakeland High School Student Activities Director, Scott Rolando. 5. Wrapped In Warmth
Starting at 10 am this morning, knitters and sewers are encouraged to come out, visit with friends and for patients at the Karmanos Cancer Institute at Huron Valley Hospital.
