Octoberfest at Brendel Beach on Saturday

Join in the festivities and help raise money for a new playground and pavilion at Lakewood Village.

The following was submitted to White Lake Patch by Lakewood Village resident John Samson.

This is the encore to last year's spectacular event at Lakewood Village, and is a community event where adults and children are welcome. This promises to be a fun-for-all event and will be a celebration of both our Village and the rituals of autumn.

Join us Saturday morning for a 5K and Children's 1K Fun Run/Walk in the morning to raise money for our playground/pavilion fund at Brendel Beach. In the afternoon, there will be great food provided from residents in the Chili Cook-off. If you missed last year's cook-off, you might not want to miss it this year! Afterwards, the kids (and adults) can enjoy a magic show with "Tom the Magician" and an ice cream social to boot. Then, be amazed at Lakewood Village's finest when their talents are on display for all on an open stage. To top it off, the area's Bucket List Band and Mr. Moody will end the night with music everyone can dance the night away too!
