Say Thank You With the Troop Tree at the Highland Library

The Highland Township Library is partnering with Huron Valley AMVETS Post 2006 to gather gifts and notes to send to deployed service men and women from the area.

If you've stopped by the Highland Library lately, you've likely noticed the troop tree near the lobby.

This year, the library is partnering with Huron Valley AMVETS Post 2006 to send gifts and thank you notes to deployed service men and women from the Highland area.

If you'd like to say thanks to our Troops, you can participate in the following ways:

  • Drop items off at the library - please, only items from the acceptable items list.
  • Kids can make an ornament to decorate the tree.
  • Write a thank-you card or note (materials available at the library) for our active troops.

Packages will be sent over the next few months. You can stop by the library anytime, now through the holidays, and into the new year.

If you know of a local deployed service man or woman who would like to be added to the recipient list, you can pass their name along at the library.
