1. Wizards' Book Club

If you have a child between the ages of 8 and 12, this program is for them. The Wizard's Book Club takes place Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Highland Township Library. During the book club, kids can make a magic wand and wizard staff, and eat "fantasy food" while having a book discussion about The Magic Thief. To register call 248-887-2218 (option 4).

2. Landscaping for Wildlife

Join the North Oakland Wild Ones Chapter for a presentation on 'Landscaping For Wildlife'. The presentation starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the St. Daniel Catholic Church Cushing Center (7010 Valley Park Drive, Clarkston). According to the event listing, Vern Stephens will provide natural landscaping, design and consulting, environmental education, habitat management planning utilizing Michigan native wildflowers and grasses. 3. Open House - Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran School

An open house for Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran School will take place Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school located at 3667 Highland Road in Hartland. Prospective families will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet with both the principal and pastor, visit classrooms, and learn about what the school has to offer.
