13: It’s a Number, It’s an Age, It’s a New Musical.

Thirteen is that age. You are a kid and you are an adult. Your body isn’t sure which yet. You like that girl but you don’t know how to talk to girls. Girls are weird. You try to be cool but everyone that is cool thinks you’re a geek. One minute everything in your life is going along just fine and the next minute it all falls apart. We’ve have all been there. We have all felt like every choice we make is life and death. We have all been cool and geeks all at the same time. We hope that you find, as we do, that this show truly captures this stage of life. It can be simultaneously hilarious and touching, mean-spirited and sweet; all of the things that it feels like when you are thirteen.

Evan Goldman’s life is great. Living in Manhattan, he is about to turn thirteen and is looking forward to his upcoming bar mitzvah. It is going to be the best party ever! Just when everything seems perfect, his Mom and Dad split up and EVERYTHING falls apart! He’s moved to a new place, has to make new friends... he wants to “fit in” but has to choose between having true friends or having a great party. He has to choose between being cool and being a geek, and of course, he doesn’t always make all the right choices.

Performances are October 14, 19, 21 and 22 at 7:30 p.m., and October 16 and 23 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.00 all seats (group discounts available).
