Celebrating the End of Summer With a Splash at Indian Springs

Area residents cool off at the Indian Springs Metropark's "Spray N' Play" over Labor Day weekend.

Area families headed over to in White Lake Township this weekend to celebrate the end of summer with a splash.

The heat was perfect for cooling off at the "spray n' play," part of an adventure playground for kids ages 2-12.

Families from White Lake, Commerce Township, and even visitors from Apex, NC enjoyed the cool water, surprising spray action, and variety of squirting nozzles. The adventure area also includes a maze, playground equipment, rock wall, and climbing ropes - all age-appropriate.

The Environmental Discovery Center at Indian Springs features 60 acres where people can learn about the native ecosystems of the region. The building features a classroom, biology lab, and event room for 200 people. A pond viewing room allows visitors to see what happens under the water.
