Community Tree Lighting Event with Santa

The free White Lake Community Tree Lighting event takes place from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7 at Village Lakes Shopping Center near JCPenney, 300 Town Center Blvd
White Lake.

Activities include giveaways throughout the evening; a "Christmas Through the Ages" (holiday history) contest; ice sculptures with holiday themes and corporate logos; recognition of all military personnel, past and present; holiday selections performed by local high school choirs; and a sing-along on the Oakland County Mobile Stage.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive escorted by the White Lake Township Fire Department. 

Other events include a chili cook-off, hosted by White Lake Township Fire Department; a gingerbread house contest and children's crafts hosted by Friends of the White Lake Township Library and library staff (visit whitelakelibrary.org for more information).

County and township dignitaries will be on hand for the lighting of our 20-foot tree.
