'Inside|Out' Exhibit Opens; Kids Are 'Mini Masters'

Inside|Out, now in its second year, brings 80 reproductions of masterpieces from the DIA's collection to the streets and parks of greater metro Detroit, pleasantly surprising and delighting residents of the participating communities.

With assistance from the Milford Downtown Development Authority, seven of the works will be clustered in downtown Milford within walking distance of each other in a grand, open-air gallery, starting on Saturday, Sept. 17.

The inaugural day of the event features volunteer "docents" placed at each of the seven paintings to greet visitors and read a brief biography of the painter and his/her work between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
