Milford Presbyterian Hosts Christmas Cantata

Milford Presbyterian Church presents its annual Christmas Cantata, God is With Us, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10 and 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11 at the church, 238 North Main Street in downtown Milford.

The presentation this year is expected to be bigger than ever, with a choir of over 50 singers from several local churches.

White Lake Presbyterian Church will be one of those participating groups, and this year's cantata is dedicated to the memory of the late Rev. Deborah Kerr, who grew up in the Milford church and was pastor of the White Lake church.

God Is With Us is traditional in style, but features innovative twists and turns. It combines exciting and moving classical music by Faure, Beethoven, Vivaldi, Tchaikovsky, and Billings with some of the world’s most beloved Christmas Carols. Beginning with the awe-filled simplicity of Gregorian Chant, it concludes with a fun, festive journey through favorite carols with a Nutcracker flair. And in between, one experiences indescribably beautiful music, worthy of the celebration of such a glorious and miraculous event.

A free-will offering will be received.
