White Lake Community Tree Lighting

Events include giveaways throughout the evening; a "Christmas Through the Ages" (holiday history) contest; ice sculptures with holiday themes and corporate logos; recognition of all military personnel, past and present; holiday selections performed by local high school choirs; and a sing-along on the Oakland County Mobile Stage. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive escorted by the White Lake Township Fire Department. A Chili Cook-off, hosted by the White Lake Township Fire Department, will be judged by the township supervisor, police chief and fire chief, along with a little expertise from local restaurant owners. There will also be a gingerbread house contest and children's crafts hosted by Friends of the White Lake Township Library and library staff (visit whitelakelibrary.org for more information). County and township dignitaries will be on hand for the lighting of our 20-foot tree. Special thanks to our local businesses for funding this event.
