It’s Thursday and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Don't worry: Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your done-work-outta-here time. Check out our picks for this weekend:

1.

Where/when: Kensington Metro Park, Milford, Saturday at 11 a.m. or Monday at 11 a.m.

Why go: You stayed down in the mitten for the holiday, but are looking for a little escape from the normal activities. Check out Kensington Metro Park today. The park is offering horse-drawn carriage rides that will take you past the fields and through the woods. The park is also offering a "Beasts on the Beach" educational program which will teach you what is true and what is not true about snakes and turtles. Plus the Splash 'n' Blast is still available with its two 250-foot water slides, cannon spray guns, and a spray ground with serpents and palm trees.

Price: $4 adults, $3 for seniors/children 2-15, and children under 2 free. Park entry fee $5 without annual pass

Where/when: 12600 Dixie Hwy, Holly, MI 48442 (Michigan Renaissance Festival Grounds), Saturday, Sunday and Monday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 When/where: Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at

Why go: On Saturday from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., the White Lake Township Fire Department will visit the White Lake Farmers Market on the Lakeland High School Campus. Department members will bring a fire engine, two firemen, and some handouts. They will also be answering questions that people have about the fire department or firefighting in general. It is a great day to bring the kids.

Price: Free.

Where/when: Friday 5-8 p.m., , 321 Union Lake Rd, White Lake.

Why go: Get great company, conversation and some of the best fish in town.

Price: Cost is $8 for most; seniors pay $7.

Where/when: Downtown Royal Oak, Friday-Monday 11:00am–11:00pm

Why Go: Come to check out the more than 250 music acts and stay for the art displays and food from more than 65 restaurants and vendors. The annual event will also feature displays from Ford and cooking demonstrations.

Price: $3 admission
