1. Weather
Today’s weather, from the National Weather Service, is expected to be partly sunny with a high of 42 degrees. Tonight, there is a 40 percent chance of rain with a low of 30 degrees.
2. Gas prices
The lowest gas prices in the White Lake area, as of Monday afternoon, were $3.31 per gallon, according to DetroitGasPrices.com. Stations offering this price were the Speedway at 9601 Highland Road and Village Drive, the Meijer station at 6001 Highland Road and Bogie Lake Road and the BP at 10580 Highland Road and Teggerdine.
3. On this day in history
On this day in 2000, Vice President Al Gore conceded defeat to Texas Gov. George W. Bush in their bids for the presidency, according to History.com. It followed weeks of legal battles over the recounting of votes in Florida.

4. In the news: Tax Credits for Library Donations Expire at End of December
The last opportunity to take advantage of state tax credits when donating to a public library ends Dec. 31, reports. Donors can receive the State of Michigan tax credit, only until the end of this year, for their donations to public libraries or to endowment funds within Community Foundations.
5. Meeting rescheduled
The Board meeting that was scheduled for today has been moved to Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. at the town hall, 7525 Highland Road.
