1. Weather
Today’s weather, from the National Weather Service, has an 80 percent chance of showers with a high of 50 degrees. Tonight, the forecast is breezy with a low of 27 degrees.
2. Gas prices
The lowest gas price in the White Lake area, as of Wednesday afternoon, was $3.26 per gallon, according to DetroitGasPrices.com. The station offering this price was the Mobil at 8000 Cooley Lake Road and South Williams Lake Road.
3. On this day in history
On this day in 2001, Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa reopened after 11 years and $27 million to fortify it without eliminating the famous lean, History.com reports. In the 12th century, construction began on the bell tower for the cathedral of Pisa, approximately 50 miles from Florence. While construction was taking place, the tower's foundation began to sink into the soft ground, causing it to lean to one side.

4. In the news: Sassafrass Gifts Opens In Time for Holidays
For those who still need to finish their Christmas shopping, there’s a new gift store in downtown Brighton, reports. Sassafrass Gifts is at 108 W. Main Street, next to Lu & Carl’s, and the new store’s owners are longtime friends Annette Jacoby and Cathy Dedakis.
5. ‘Tea Time in London’
The free event, takes place from 6:30-8 p.m. today, at Acorn Farm, 367 N. Main Street, Milford. It highlights flavors from Tea Forte, and a demo on making scones, by Kathy Magaluk. In addition, participants can save 20 percent off all tea items.
