Best of White Lake Patch Winner: Leo's Coney Island

Leo's Coney Island won 40 percent of the vote in the Patch "Best Of" Lunch Spots contest.

Patch readers have spoken and the votes are in for the best lunch spot in White Lake.

Receiving 12 votes (40 percent) in the contest, the family-owned restaurant has been a popular lunch spot since it's opening more than four years ago. When dining on any given day, you'll often see township officials and police and firefighters enjoying their lunch break.

The restaurant is owned by Jim and Jennifer Christopher.

Jim Christopher said some of the more popular menu items include the chicken finger pita; corn dogs, which are a kid favorite; and the Greek salad. From the White Lake restaurant's specials, pasties, stuffed cabbage and lasagna are favorites.

Leo's Coney Island is open Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
