White Lake Salon Moves Locations, Includes Spa Services

Epic Hair Studio and Spa moved into their new location at 9135 Highland Road last July.

Ten years after opening her first hair salon in White Lake, owner and stylist Daniele David knew it was time for a new look and location for her expanding business.

Last summer, Epic Hair Studio and Spa moved into their new space at 9135 Highland Rd., adding new services, stylists and spa options, including Reiki, a stress reduction practice that promotes healing.

While hiring more staff and including more services, David also says the move gave her the opportunity to decorate her new space with a new relaxing look and feel.

“This one is all Earth tones, very feng shui,” she said.

Although the look, location and services have changed, the name of the salon remains the same. David says she chose the name Epic ten years ago after reading a book and decided it was a perfect fit for the environment she was trying to create with her new salon.

“Epic is the meaning of journey,” she said. “I thought that it so fun - the grand in scope, to be a part of something noble.”

A decade later, David says she now sees the work epic everywhere, including Taco Bell ads and laughs that word has seemed to caught on.

“Everything is epic,” she said with a laugh. “I was way ahead of the game.”
