How did your business come to be?: Playing the piano has been an interest of mine since I was very young. I studied at the professional state music school in St.Petersburg, Russia for seven years. When I moved to the U.S, I got a certification in Piano Teaching through the nationally recognized Piano Pedagogy Program at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan, where I studied piano for five years. Then I decided to open my piano studio.

What's a fact about your business that most customers probably don't know?: Learning to play the piano is one of the most uplifting experiences of life, which benefits body, mind, spirit and soul. Many studies have established that piano instruction increases children’s math, science and spatial skills, and overall academic potential. Learning music also develops such quality as concentration, self-discipline, and co-ordination. But the most important is that playing piano gives people inner joy and allows expressing themselves through the language of music. It is something that people can enjoy for the rest of their lives.

What services does your business provide?: My studio provides private piano instruction for children of age 5 and up. I also welcome adult students who may be looking for some musical enjoyment later in life. Private lessons include study of repertoire, technique, theory, sight-reading and ensemble experiences, as well as progression in general musicianship and ability. My students have opportunity to participate in state testing, competitions and recitals.

What's your most popular product or service?: 45 minute private lesson.

When was the business founded?: September 2008.

Why did you choose to locate to the area?: I chose the White Lake area because it's where I live and it has a great community filled with many nice people.
