Local Salon Receives Two Top Industry Awards

Randolph's Salon was awarded the Redken Education Excellence Award and named to the Salon Today 200.

Winning two industry awards, Randolph's Salon, which has locations in White Lake and Clarkston, was honored for their commitment to their community, their clients and their profession.

For the second consecutive year, the salon was awarded with the Redken Education Excellence Award, a “huge honor” according to co-owner Scott Randolph who says the repeat win is “unprecedented.”

“This is the one everybody wants to win,” he said.

The 2013 award was presented to Randolph and wife and co-owner, Mary, during the Las Vegas symposium in February.

With more than 10,000 hairdressers attending the event, Randolph says being recognized for their commitment to education by one of the industry leaders "on the world's biggest stage for a hair show" held the largest prestige out of the five awards that were given out.

"They all consider themselves artists and they are consider themselves educators," he said. "So education is huge to them."

In January, Randolph’s was also named to the Salon Today 200 by Salon Today magazine, which recognizes the top-producing salons and spas in the country.

Beyond the awards and recognitions however, Randolph said that the reason their customers keep coming back is because of the salon's consistent level of work and reputation in their communities.

“We deliver the highest the quality with a good old-fashioned nice,” Randolph said. “It’s all about doing the best we can.”

With two locations already, Randolph’s has plans to add a third location in the Rochester area sometime during the Fall of 2013. The newest location will be in the Hampton Village shopping center on the corner of Rochester and Auburn Roads.
