New Salvation Army Thrift Store Celebrates Grand Opening in Highland

Salvation Army Thrift Store and Donation Center opens in Highland.

The Salvation Army celebrated the grand opening of its newest Thrift Store and Donation Center in Highland Saturday. 

The Thrift Store brings 50 new jobs to the area with most of the new employees coming from White Lake, Highland and Milford. 

Store manager Janice Nylund said she is very excited be part of the Huron Valley community, and that the new store is great for all the businesses in the plaza.

WOMC 104.3 did a live broadcast and Detroit Tigers mascot Paws visited. 

Students from the Salvation Army Culinary Arts program in Detroit provided the shoppers with complimentary donuts, coffee, hot dogs, potato chips and punch.

The Thrift store is located at 532 W. Highland Road (M-59) in Highland.
