St. Joseph Mercy Health System to Open Urgent Care in White Lake

Township officials say new urgent care expected to open in early 2012.

The economy may have put a hold on the St. Joseph Mercy Health System medical building planned for White Lake, but Supervisor Greg Baroni said it's opened other opportunities for the company in the township.

St. Joseph Mercy is currently working to open an urgent care in the open space between and in the Village Lakes complex off M-59 and Elizabeth Lake Roads.

"They had to halt the plans on the medical building meant for the area next to the and when the economy tanked," Baroni said. "But they really wanted to have a presence in White Lake and decided to move ahead on an urgent care."
