The Root Restaurant & Bar Set to Open May 31

Patch gives you a sneak peek of the inside of the restaurant before its debut.

On May 31 will officially open its doors to the public, offering residents a chance to see what seasonal concoctions White Lake’s newest restaurant has to offer.

The Root Restaurant & Bar seats 112 guests and specializes in seasonality, offering a variety of locally grown and produced products. James Rigato, chef for the restaurant said that not much has changed since their of the restaurant and that visually it is exactly as he had anticipated. According to owner Ed Mamou they already have 100 reservations in the books, and hope that they keep on coming.

Some of the restaurant’s menu items include a crab cake burger for $14, linguine & mussels for $18 and a fried bologna sandwich for $8. Two of the items recommended by Mamou were the roasted Miller Farms half chicken and the Lake Superior whitefish. For dessert, among many other sweets, there is house made gelato, dark chocolate “fallen soufflé” tart, or for an after dinner drink guests can try a Spanish coffee or raspberry torte.
