How to Decide When to See Your Chiropractor

Let the doctor give you his best advice.

It's Spring!

Which means you can finally put away your big winter coat and bring out your sandals. Most people enjoy the sun while "spring cleaning" and doing yard work they couldn't do while there was a foot or two of snow on everyone's yard. However, with increased exercise and activity you are more prone to injury, so how can you be sure if you need to see your chiropractor?

Possible Signs You Need An Adjustment

While you are outside planting your hybrids or raking up some left over leaves you notice you have a very limited range of motion and aren't sure what is happening. This may be an important sign you need to be adjusted, especially if there is pain or it is  limiting tasks that you could have done weeks ago or just last year. Some other signs which would tell you that you need to call would be...
  • A constant pain lasting anywhere from 36-48 hours with no signs of relief
  • Weakness in your arms or legs
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Trouble resting or sleeping
All of these symptoms could indicate that you have a misaligned vertebrae and are in need of an adjustment. The longer you wait with these symptoms, the worse it will be for you and your body so it's important to know when you need to see your chiropractor. Misaligned vertebrae can make you feel old, stiff and tired so a tune up may be just what the doctor ordered!
