Good morning, White Lake and Highland, here's what you need to know about today.
1. The weather
The National Weather Service says we can expect sunny skies, with a high near 92. Friday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
2. Gas prices
According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Thursday night was $4.07 per gallon at the Meijer gas station. In Highland, the Mobil gas station on Highland Road had the lowest gas price, $3.99.
3. On this day in history
According to History.com, in 1888, prostitute Mary Ann Nichols, the first victim of London serial killer "Jack the Ripper," is found murdered and mutilated in Whitechapel's Buck's Row. The East End of London saw four more victims of the murderer during the next few months, but no suspect was ever found.
