The National Weather Service says we can expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 38 degrees. Thursday night there is a 50 percent chance of snow. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Wednesday night was $3.37 per gallon at the gas station.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, in 1990, 132 feet below the English Channel, workers drilled an opening the size of a car through a wall of rock. This was no ordinary hole – it connected the two ends of an underwater tunnel linking Great Britain with the European mainland for the first time in more than 8,000 years.
