1. Weather
The National Weather Service forecasts a 100 percent chance of rain today with a high of 43 degrees. There is also a 100 percent chance of rain tonight with a low of 41 degrees.
2. Gas prices
The lowest gas prices in the White Lake area, as of Tuesday afternoon, were $3.28 per gallon, according to DetroitGasPrices.com. Stations offering this price were the Speedway at 9601 Highland Rd. and Village Drive and the Meijer station at 6001 Highland Rd. and Bogie Lake Road.
3. On this day in history
On this day in 1911, Norwegian Roald Amundsen became first man to reach the South Pole, beating his British rival, Robert Falcon Scott, according to History.com. Amundsen, born in Borge, near Oslo, in 1872, was one of the major figures in polar exploration.
