1. The weather

The National Weather Service says we can expect partly sunny skies, with a high near 25. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 23.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Tuesday night was $3.29 per gallon at the gas station.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, on this day in 1895, the world's first commercial movie screening took place at the Grand Cafe in Paris. The film was made by Louis and Auguste Lumiere, two French brothers who developed a camera-projector called the Cinematographe. The Lumiere brothers unveiled their invention to the public in March 1895 with a brief film showing workers leaving the Lumiere factory. On December 28, the entrepreneurial siblings screened a series of short scenes from everyday French life and charged admission for the first time.

5.Β Village Fine Arts Association (VFAA)

The Village Fine Arts Association is a regional, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fine arts in the Huron Valley area. Meetings, shows and events are open to interested visitors. Members meet from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m. the fourth Wednesday of the month in a space provided courtesy of Milford Presbyterian Church.
