2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Thursday night was $3.67 per gallon at the gas station.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, in 1836, in San Antonio, Texas, Colonel William Travis issued a call for help on behalf of the Texan troops defending the Alamo, an old Spanish mission and fortress under attack by the Mexican army.

Featuring local "celebrity" bartenders, live music by two bands as well as a raffle fundraiser drawing, the 18th annual Snowball Dance supporting the Joel Jeremy fund was too much fun to make it only one night. The dance takes place from 9 p.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 and Saturday, Feb. 25 at The White Lake Inn, featuring The Snowball Band. Cost is $5 at the door for each dance.
