Good morning, White Lake, here's what you need to know about today.

1. The weather

The National Weather Service says we can expect partly sunny skies, with a high near 20. Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 20.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Monday night was $3.43 per gallon at the gas station.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, on this day in 1990, Panama's General Manuel Antonio Noriega, after holing up for 10 days at the Vatican embassy in Panama City, surrendered to U.S. military troops to face charges of drug trafficking. Noriega was flown to Miami the following day and crowds of citizens on the streets of Panama City rejoiced. On July 10, 1992, the former dictator was convicted of drug trafficking, money laundering and racketeering and sentenced to 40 years in prison.

Lakeland High School's spring musical is Footloose! Audition times are from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, Wednesday, Jan. 4 and Thursday, Jan. 5. Production team applications are due at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4. At the auditions/callbacks, be prepared to sing a song, read and do a dance you were taught the same day at the audition.
