Good morning, White Lake and Highland, here's what you need to know about today.

1. The weather

The National Weather Service says we can expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Skies will be partly sunny, with a high near 84. Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Tuesday night was $3.49 per gallon at the gas station. In Highland, the Citgo station on Milford Road had the lowest gas price, $3.55.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, in 1940, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who first took office in 1933 as America's 32nd president, is nominated for an unprecedented third term. Roosevelt, a Democrat, would eventually be elected to a record four terms in office, the only U.S. president to serve more than two terms.
