Good morning, White Lake and Highland, here's what you need to know about today.
1. The weather
The National Weather Service says we can expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 89. Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a low around 65.
2. Gas prices
According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Wednesday night was $3.59 per gallon at the gas station. In Highland, the Citgo station on Milford Road had the lowest gas price, $3.55.
3. On this day in history
According to History.com, in 1908, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is born when U.S. Attorney General Charles Bonaparte orders a group of newly hired federal investigators to report to Chief Examiner Stanley W. Finch of the Department of Justice. One year later, the Office of the Chief Examiner was renamed the Bureau of Investigation, and in 1935 it became the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
