1. The weather
The National Weather Service says we can expect a chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 a.m. Otherwise, skies will be mostly sunny, with a high near 95. Thursday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 73.
2. Gas prices
According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Wednesday night was $3.59 per gallon at the gas station. In Highland, the Citgo station on Milford Road had the lowest gas price, $3.53.
3. On this day in history
According to History.com, 1946, French designer Louis Reard unveils a daring two-piece swimsuit at the Piscine Molitor, a popular swimming pool in Paris. Parisian showgirl Micheline Bernardini modeled the new fashion, which Reard dubbed "bikini," inspired by a news-making U.S. atomic test that took place off the Bikini Atoll in the Pacific Ocean earlier that week.
