Good morning, White Lake, here's what you need to know about today.

1. The weather

The National Weather Service says we can expect partly sunny skies, with a high near 69. Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Monday night was $3.54 per gallon at the gas station.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, in 1933, the United States went off the gold standard, a monetary system in which currency is backed by gold, when Congress enacted a joint resolution nullifying the right of creditors to demand payment in gold.
