Good morning, White Lake, here's what you need to know about today.

1. The weather

The National Weather Service says we can expect mostly sunny skies, with a high near 64. Wednesday night there will be a 40 percent chance of showers. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with a low around 42.

2. Gas prices

According to DetroitGasPrices.com, the lowest reported gasoline price in the White Lake area as of Tuesday night was $3.34 per gallon at the gas station located off M-59.

3. On this day in history

According to History.com, on this day in 1947, the Hughes Flying Boat — the largest aircraft ever built — was piloted by designer Howard Hughes on its first and only flight. Built with laminated birch and spruce, the massive wooden aircraft had a wingspan longer than a football field and was designed to carry more than 700 men to battle.
